let mercy draw you near

In this Lenten season, we can be reminded—if we take the time and look—that God‘s goodness is everywhere.

We can focus on the direness, or we can remember that Jesus came to defeat it all.

He’s with us when we arise in the morning, as we navigate our days, and when we close our eyes at night.

Look for His goodness in the joyful eyes of your children, the expectant wagging of your dog’s tail, your friend’s contagious laughter, sunshine on your face, and wind blowing through your hair.

He is near, and He sees everything.

He will make all things right in the end. For this we can be sure.

Let mercy draw you near and lay your burdens at the cross.

God is good, and His love for you is fierce.

Come to the table—everyone is invited.

Hebrews 4 : 16 Let us then approach God‘s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
